Sigurbjorn Thorbergsson

Sigurbjorn Thorbergsson is a practicing attorney at law since 1991 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Iceland in November 2011.  Main areas of practice are creditor rights, property law and international private law.  Several cases that Sigurbjorn has advocated before the Courts of Iceland have had major impact on the development of property and inheritance law in the country.

Sigurbjorn entered the arena of International debt collection back in 2002 by becoming a member of the TCM Group International.  In 2006 Sigurbjorn established TCM Innheimta ehf. a company focused on advancing creditors rights across borders and continents.  The company is the market leader in its homeland.  Through his knowledge and experience in cross border collections and litigation Sigurbjorn has secured thousands of creditors and debtors alike safe passage through the valley of debt.

Sigurbjorn was Director of TCM Group International in 2003 – 2009 and the Managing Director of the company 2010 – 2015.  Sigurbjorn was appointed Honorary Director of the Company in 2015 and re-elected as a Director in 2024.
