Sigurbjorn Thorbergsson

Sigurbjorn Thorbergsson has been a practicing attorney since 1991 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Iceland in November 2011. His main areas of practice include creditor rights, property law, and international private law. He has advocated in several landmark cases that have significantly influenced the development of property and inheritance law in Iceland.

Since joining TCM Group International in 2002, Sigurbjörn founded TCM Innheimta ehf. in 2006, establishing Iceland’s market-leading firm in cross-border debt collection and advancing creditor rights globally. His expertise in international collections and litigation has helped resolve complex cases for thousands of creditors and debtors.

He served as Director of TCM Group International (2003–2009), Managing Director (2010–2015 and from 15 December 2025), Honorary Director (2015–2024), and was re-elected as Director in 2024.
